New Bluetooth modules for embedded applications

With the brand WirelessEmbedded, emxys is launching a renewed portfolio of Bluetooth modules, specifically targeted to embedded applications developers community. The core of this new promotion are the uIceBlue2 and BTswitch embedded modules. uIceBlue2 is an embedded bluetooth module based in the PIC18F4550 microcontroller and PearlBlue Bluetooth module, also from WirelessEmbedded.

The device (a new version of former uIceBlue) is enhanced with this USB PIC micro, which enables the possibility to implement simultaneous USB and Bluetooth communications through a unique device. The module has an USB bootloader included from factory which makes no necessary the use of external programming tools. In addition, a default firmware is included in the module that implements a command-based mode to control a set of digital I/O pins and to make analog samples just from the second one.

BTSwitch is a Bluetooth PearlBlue based board with four (4) power relays enabled for applications up to 240VAC / 1A. With this module, it is possible to get and to operate over the state of the switches and to get the logic state of the included opto-isolated digital input. It is well suited for remote control applications in fields as domotics, industrial control etc.
