The result is a simpler and a far more cost-effective solution than a pure real-time database implementation, while delivering deterministic data-access with guaranteed response capability that hard real-time applications require. In addition to enabling data to be read and written in real-time by INtime applications, the data is also accessible to Windows applications.
System implementations with a real-time and non-real-time component are an ideal match for INtime for Windows, said Kim Hartman, TenAsys VP of Sales and Marketing. Now, real-time data controlled by INtime applications can be accessed from Windows based applications without violating the real-time constraints using standard SQL and APIs like .NET and Java.
This breakthrough implementation allows real-time process and automation control applications that store important information about the behavior of the real-time system to make that data available to non-real-time, Windows applications. Non-real-time applications can then use standard SQL accesses to analyze this data, allowing applications to make changes based on trends and take corrective action immediately.
Mimer SQL Real-Time software for INtime will be available from Mimer Information Technology AB.
