Energy Profiling with TRACE32® Combiprobe

Lauterbach GmbH, the leading manufacturer of universal Microprocessor development systems, will soon release Energy Profiling for the TRACE32® CombiProbe.

Lauterbach customers using the TRACE32® CombiProbe will soon benefit from an Energy Profiling feature. Using the analog probe along with the CombiProbe – customers can measure current and voltage from up to 3 power domains and correlate it to a program trace (for example Cortex/ARM ETM or ITM).

When using the ETM trace, customers do not have to instrument their code – unlike other tools on the market where this is necessary.

As early as 2007, Lauterbach introduced to the market the ability to measure power consumption and analyze it in correlation to a program flow trace. Since then the Energy Profiling feature could be used in conjunction with the PowerIntegrator (Logic and Bus Analyzer).
