Expanding its HMI portfolio, APLEX has announced the ARCHMI-8xx(P) series, based on the Intel Atom E3800 Bay Trail, to address industrial-grade user demand for outstanding computing performance and high resolution graphics. The series, suitable for automation applications, significantly reduces power consumption while operating and offers LCD sizes from 7 to 21.5”.

APLEX' fanless ARCHMI-8xx(P) series features rugged design and features a front bezel with IP65 rating to build up water and dust resistance. The aluminium alloy die-casting enclosure provides superior heat dissipation and prevents dust intrusion resulting in less downtime in harsh industrial environments. Armed with Intel's Atom E3845/Celeron N2930 processor, the series delivers improvements in computing performance and energy efficiency. The units feature an onboard 2GB DDR3L at 1600 MHz as standard, with a 4GB option.

HMIs have been widely adapted by automation equipment for a long time. Nowadays HMI use extends further, to markets such as POS, kiosk, logistics, ATM and digital signage applications. In responding to the increasing demands on HMIs, APLEX' fanless ARCHMI 7xx/8xx/9xx series feature rugged IP65 protection and are characterised by aluminium die-casting chassis with a 9-36VDC voltage range.

The units all support PCT and optional resistive touch and are offered in a range of LCD selections, measuring 7, 8, 10.1, 12.1, 15, 15.6, 17, 18.5 and 21.5”, enabling industrial-grade users to facilitate their applications in specific markets. ARCHMI-8xx(P) series is currently sampling.
