Analytica has launched a new CAN Ethernet gateway with a ARM9 processor based on Linux (Kernel 2.6). The AnaGate CAN duo is substantially more efficient than the established AnaGate CAN model because of its 32 bit processor. With full bus utilization at high bus speed (e.g. 1MBit) on the CAN field bus all CAN messages can be processed and sent on to the personal computer by a AnaGate CAN duo.
The AnaGate CAN duo is the optimal replacement for PCI cards or USB gateways, if there is a spatial distance between PC and CAN network. By usage of standard WLAN/WiFi components also a wireless LAN connection is possible to the CAN network.

The successor of the AnaGate CAN has two CAN interfaces, which can be used independently by a PC or a PLC. The two interfaces can be coupled in bridge mode directly via the integrated CAN bridge or via LAN/WLAN with a further AnaGate CAN. In this way arbitrary CAN segments can be interconnected. The configuration is made comfortably via a standard browser by a Web interface.

The device can be accessed via a provided application library from programming environments and allows the creation of individual PC solutions. As Embedded PC with Linux platform the AnaGate CAN due permits also the flexible extensions by downloading and running of application programs. The existing two USB interfaces and the 4 digital inputs/outputs can be accessed too. These functional extensions can be created by the customer or by ANALYTICA as supplier.

The AnaGate CAN duo costs 410.55 EUR (incl. 19% VAT) with power supply, software API, CAN monitor software for Windows and CANopen driver for CANFestival.
