ICONICS announces its new version 10.8 of GENESIS64, MobileHMI, Energy AnalytiX and Facility AnalytiX software solutions. Designed and certified for Windows 8 and Windows 2012 Server operating systems, ICONICS fully supports and delivers solutions that take maximum advantage of these new Microsoft operating systems.
ICONICS solutions are based on industry standards such as BACnet, OPC UA, SNMP and Modbus. The company has achieved BACnet Certification to guarantee seamless interoperability and operation with a wide variety of new or existing BMS systems, energy meters and electrical monitoring systems. This interoperability, coupled with the capability to define advanced visualizations or dashboards on the Windows 8 Phone, Windows desktops and Microsoft Surface devices, brings new opportunities for systems integrators, OEMs and users.

ICONICS CEO and President Russ Agrusa stated, Our solutions take advantage of the new Windows 8 live tiles, multi-touch and new user experience and brings these capabilities to our building automation customers. The MobileHMI app for Microsoft Surface devices, for example, brings a rich visualization experience for viewing energy and BAS operations from a simple tablet. ICONICS is proud to be the first with Microsoft Surface device solutions for the Building Automation market.

Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system, coupled with ICONICS MobileHMI app for Building Automation, is breaking down the barriers between the Building Operations control room, the maintenance shop, the executive suite and building occupants. In some cases, it is removing the need for a control center altogether. It is now possible to integrate, operate and optimize building operations, from any device, any time and from anywhere.

ICONICS has proven that Windows 8 delivers the responsiveness and robustness needed for critical building and utility operation, said John Richards, Senior Director of Windows App Marketing for Microsoft Corp. Building operators and supervisors no longer need to be tethered to the control room, and real estate executives are now virtually a touch away from real-time operations performance KPIs, independent of their travel schedules.

Users can visualize building operations from any Windows 8 device with dazzling, fully animated graphics and extensive charts and trends and can respond to alarms and alerts in real time. They can utilize natural multi-touch gestures to pan through their building floor plan to see what conference room is available or select their office to raise the temperature or turn on the lights. ICONICS MobileHMI allows building supervisors to achieve instant, one-touch access to operational conditions of concern or KPIs of interest such as energy use compared to budget or compared to demand targets. Integration with the Windows 8 Charm bar allows users to change settings and search the application. With MobileHMI, users are made immediately aware of critical alerts (notifications) that are delivered to mobile devices and displayed on the Start screen via the MobileHMI live tile.
