NXP Semiconductors and Transim Technology have announced several key enhancements to NXP’s Power and Lighting Online Design Tool Portfolio. Available free of charge to design engineers, NXP’s online design tools simplify the design process with customized design generation; instant simulation results powered by Transim’s patented WebSIM engine; comprehensive parts list with inventory and pricing check; and online purchase from leading distribution partners.
The design tools enable collaboration across the globe with cloud-centric design save and share modules. NXP's online design tool portfolio has been developed together with Transim Technology for online design support in the electronics industry.

The key enhancements include:

-The Non dimmable LED Design tool is now available to prototype non-dimmable Solid-State Lighting driver ICs in buck and flyback topologies and supports NXP's latest SSL2109 series.

-Online design support for low power AC-DC SMPS controllers has been expanded with the flyback SMPS Design Tool that supports the TEA172x series.

-Resonant power supplies belonging to the TEA1713 and TEA1716 series can be designed and simulated online with the Resonant SMPS Design Tool.

-Multi-language support in Chinese and Japanese has been added to the updated tools to support Asian design engineers.

Online design tools have extended NXP's application engineering support to reach new audiences of design engineers across the globe, around the clock. Our latest enhancements to the design tools promote our newest products and technologies in reliable designs that can be generated rapidly online, said Stéphane Curral, vice president and general manager, power and lighting solutions, NXP Semiconductors.

NXP realized early on the enormous potential with online design support solutions for their customers. Our partnership has helped push the boundaries to simplify and speed up design of NXP’s innovative power and lighting solutions for application engineers worldwide, stated Birgit Knorr, President and CEO, Transim.
