Arcom’s ZyWAN – the industrial GSM/GPRS/3G wireless router.

Targeted for telemetry, Internet access and mobile computing applications, the rugged ZyWAN offers a secure and robust connection across GSM/GPRS/3G, CDMA mobile data networks. It provides real-time access to any Ethernet, 802.11b/g or serial device for mobile and fixed data applications.

The ZyWAN operates as a fully configurable embedded Linux router enabling firewalling, DHCP, DNS and NAT. Also included is a GPS receiver providing both a sophisticated tracking program and NMEA data strings for mapping applications. To easily manage the ZyWAN, a WEB GUI interface presents a simple tool to quickly change settings locally or over-the-air. At the heart of the ZyWAN is Arcom’s ZEUS embedded board providing dual USB ports, three serial ports and two Ethernet ports. The ZyWAN differentiates itself from other products in the market as it is fitted with an internal GPS, Wi-Fi and VGA or touch screen display. “Unlike competitors this is a complete open-source software platform, and the board itself offers unmatched capabilities.” said Kurt Hochanadel, Product Manager at Arcom.

The ZyWAN is an application ready platform with unrivaled development tools and support. The ZyWAN is configured with Arcom Embedded Linux, J2ME and OSGI (Eclipse), a proven solution which has enabled companies to apply their custom application quickly, reducing time to market.
