These versatile load centres are suited for cellular and telecom networks, broadband, small cells, picocells, micro cells, 5G nodes, DAS systems, and right-of-way expansions. Their power capacity can handle all small-cell configurations, including multi-tenant co-location sites.
Key features include a 100-amp two-pole main breaker supporting 120/240 VAC split-phase services, with an option to add a high-current branch breaker up to 60-amp two-pole for sub-panel or right-of-way expansion. The load centres are UL67 listed and service entrance rated (SUSE), eliminating the need for a separate upstream disconnect box, saving both space and cost.
Installers can easily configure circuit breakers to accommodate a wide range of equipment, using up to 14 one-pole or seven two-pole load breakers. Five base models are available, offering various configurations of 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, or 60-amp breakers.
All models incorporate Transtector’s high-capacity metal oxide varistor (MOV) surge protection technology, safeguarding against lightning strikes and power transients. With a NEMA 3R rating, the load centres are weather-resistant, featuring gaskets and seals that protect against water ingress during rain, sleet, or snow. Their 9-inch-wide profile allows for discrete mounting on poles or within pole structures, and the galvanized, powder-coated steel enclosures include a padlock hasp for added security.
“Our enhanced outdoor AC load centres offer an economical solution for powering and protecting small-cell sites,” said Dan Rebeck, Product Line Manager at Transtector. “They are also designed to be easily reconfigured in the field, accommodating the evolving needs of your installations.”
