High performance silicone adhesive cures at room temperature

Techsil has launched SnapSil TN8000 silicone adhesive into the UK market. It is said to be a versatile, high performance silicone adhesive sealant that exhibits excellent corrosion-free adhesion to many substrates such as metals (including copper), plastics, PPO/PPE, ceramics and glass without the use of primers.

SnapSil TN8000 one-component silicone adhesive cures at room temperature forming a resilient flame-retardant rubber and is easy to apply. It can adhere to many materials such as metals, plastics, glass and ceramics without the use of primers. Insulating and waterproof, it can be considered for use in a wide array of industrial sealing and bonding applications including solar and communications devices.

Potential applications include: Sealing and bonding for Solar/PV module components; Insulating adhesive sealing and fixing of electrical and electronic parts; Waterproof sealant for electrical, electronic and communication equipment; General adhesive for metals, glass, plastics, etc.
