At the upcoming Electronics & Automation exhibition, taking place from May 25-27 in Utrecht, Netherlands, Essemtec will highlight the Paraquda SMD pick-and-place, the first system using ePlace operation software. Also highlighted will be the new Cobra feeder.

Electronics & Automation in Utrecht is the most important exhibition in the Benelux for the electronics industry. Essemtec, the Swiss manufacturer of production systems, will exhibit Paraquda, one of the most modern SMD pick-and-place systems. Additionally, the new Cobra Feeder system will be introduced.

The Paraquda is an SMD placement system suitable for subcontractors and product manufacturers. It is highly flexible and can be changed during operation. In addition, due to its four parallel pick-and-place axes, it also delivers a high placement rate. It can assemble any type of SMD component from 01005 chips up to 100mm long connectors. The machine is operated and programmed using ePlace, Essemtec's intuitive and graphical software. A personal demonstration at the fair will be possible.

The newly developed Cobra Feeding system is one of the world's most accurate and fastest. Indexing takes less than 60 ms, allowing the Cobra Feeder to increase production speed by 25%. A double-8mm feeder is only 20mm wide. An integrated cutter for tape and cover tape is available. An active retracting system ensures reliable, continuous feeding.
