Dielectric is specified for a 51-10,000pF capacitance range

Allowing for higher capacitance values in existing case sizes, the UX dielectric material has been introduced by DLI. Space qualified to MIL-PRF-38534 Class K, the 50V rated dielectric complements the existing 25V rated material. The material can be specified for use with the company’s standard thin film architectures, including Di-Caps, Border Caps, Bar Caps and Gap Caps.

Featuring the temperature stability of an X7R material and a dielectric constant of 25,000, the UX material is suitable for broadband decoupling and DC blocking, amplifier stabilisation and energy storage applications.

The dielectric material is specified for a 51pF to 10,000pF capacitance range and has a TCC of ±15% at -55 to +125°C. Alongside a dissipation factor of less than 2.5% at 1MHz, the UX material features an insulation resistance of more than 103MΩ at +25°C and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 250%. Finished products exhibit outstanding dimensional tolerance and are suitable for epoxy and wire bond assembly.
