Advantech is pleased to announce the launch of its first RISC-based digital signage player- UBC-DS31, powered by the Freescale ARM Cortex-A9 i.MX6 Dual processor with Advantech's SUSIAccess signage software built-in. Based on the ARM Cortex-A9 processor, UBC-DS31 delivers high performance and low power consumption.
With superior multimedia performance, it also features an easy assembly design, and specific management software for digital signage applications. UBC-DS31 is to be showcased at ISE 2013, Europe's only dedicated exhibition and conference for AV and Electronic System Integrators taking place at Amsterdam RAI from 29th until 31st January.

Outstanding Multimedia Performance with Low Power Consumption

UBC-DS31 is powered by a Freescale ARM Cortex-A9 i.MX6 dual core processor, with 1GB DDR3 memory & 4GB flash onboard. It has 2D and 3D graphics built in, and supports dual displays with up to 1080p high resolution output on low power consumption. It also supports Gigabit Ethernet and mini-PCIe slot for WiFi, HSDPA, and optional BT module for content updates and remote control management. UBC-DS31 is a function-integrated and cost effective solution for digital signage applications.

Innovative and Flexible Design for Easy Assembly

With compact size and flexible mounting design, including wall mount and VESA 75/100 mount, UBC-DS31 is easy to assemble in any application environment. The creative fabric chassis design with a latch between the chassis and the mounting bracket allows users to easily dismantle the box from the metal mounting bracket without any unscrewing. The two cover type design for SD and SIM card gives the box high flexibility, and it also benefits from easy access for SD and SIM cards.

Smart Digital Signage with Software Built-in

Built for digital signage, UBC-DS31 is preloaded with SUSIAccess software for signage. SUSIAccess for signage is based on Linux QT framework and integrates multiple functions including content refresh, layout editing and status monitoring. Users can manage and control the content of all devices through the Ethernet or Wirelessly from servers and management centers. Advantech also##IMAGE_3_R## provides a Linux BSP option for customers to develop their specific signage application software.

UBC-DS31 sample is available now. Please contact your local Advantech sales or visit Advantech’s booth 10R144 at ISE 2013 for further enquiries.
