Touch panel computer features a Mohs hardness of 7

Designed for embedded computing or machine control applications, the GOT3187W-834-PCT multi-touch panel computer has been released by Axiomtek. Operating across a temperature range of -10 to +50°C, the fanless device features an 18.5” WXGA TFT LCD. The computer, which is based on the quad-core J1900 Intel Celeron processor, enables fast data acquisition and communication through built-in high-speed LAN ports and USB ports. 

Having passed heavy industrial CE standard testing, the device is suitable for use in in trains, heavy-vehicles, heavy industries and oil pipe monitoring systems.

The GOT3187W-834-PCT, which supports one 204-pin DDR3L SO-DIMM with system memory up to 8GB, features Intel GFX onboard graphics. To ensure durability, the device’s panel glass has a hardness of 7 in the Mohs scale. Extensive control for viewing displayed information is provided by the computer’s 2-point multi-touch capabilities. For operation in harsh environments, the device features an IP65-rated front bezel.

The GOT3187W-834-PCT features two PCIe Mini card slots and an optional WLAN/3G antennas for network connections, addressing the demand for multiple types of network and wireless connections. By plugging in the WLAN/3G mini card, customers can use the unit in a wireless environment and back up their files onto the cloud. I/O interfaces include two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet LANs and two RS-232/422/485 ports. Other features include one CFast slot, one 2.5” SATA HDD storage capacity and an optional suspension/VESA ARM kit for flexible installation.

Suitable for automation control systems, including HMI and monitoring systems, the device operates across an input range of 9V-36VDC, ensuring reliability. The GOT3187W-834-PCT, which is compatible with Windows 7/8 and Windows Embedded 7/8, will be available from March 2015.
