A large capacity storage solution suitable for consumers and businesses looking for speed, flexibility and usability without compromising performance has been introduced by Buffalo Technology.

The LinkStation 520D features a dual-core CPU, boasting impressive start-up and shutdown speeds, and enabling read and write up speeds of 100Mb/s. Users can easily back up data with NovaStor’s NovaBACKUP for PC or TimeMachine for Mac.

The device is also DLNA compatible and works with third party file management apps for both Android and iOS, to help users step-up their digital life and seamlessly blend into their existing set-up.

The native interface allows for greater control on usage, especially when it comes to power consumption. The storage solution’s extensive power controls allows for on/off scheduling and HDD spin down, which means that the LS520 stops working when the user does, resulting in significant reductions in power consumption.

The device is suitable for users who need a high-performing storage solution that is quick and easy to both setup and use. It comes with a simple setup wizard, as well as a quick and mobile-friendly interface.

In terms of efficiency, the storage solution boasts fast data transfer speeds, impressive start-up and shut down speeds, and write speeds of up to 100MB.

The LS520D is a two bay network attached storage solution available as a diskless enclosure or fully populated with 2, 4, 6, or 8TB capacity.

Hiroshi Nagao, Managing Director, Buffalo EU, said: “The LinkStation 520D is perfect for those users who are looking for both speed and ease of use from their network attached storage solution. We are excited to bring LS520D to market as it exemplifies the pinnacle of what can be achieved through innovation, with exclusive features which serve to make the end-user experience as painless as possible.”
