Optimised for read-intensive application workloads such as data warehousing, web servers, media streaming and video on demand, Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced a series of very read-intensive, enterprise SAS SSDs. The PX04SL series assists organisations in minimising TCO without sacrificing performance and is available in 2 and 4TB capacities.

The PX04SL series achieves sustained random read performance of 270,000 IOPS to help read-intensive application workloads achieve superior results and, according to Toshiba, can offer the most cost-effective solutions in the PX04S generation.

To combat bottlenecks, this SAS SSD provides high-density storage for efficient data throughput to deliver high performance, reliability and endurance for maximum application scalability.

Martin Larsson, Vice President, Storage Products Division, Toshiba Electronics Europe, commented: “The PX04SL joins our exceptional 3rd gen SAS SSDs and leverages Toshiba’s vertical integration and leadership strengths in the growing SSD market."

The PX04SL eSSDs are available now.
