The standard gain horn antenna lines from Fairview Microwave have been expanded to include seven new designs. Ranging in size from WR28 to WR430 and frequencies from 1.7 GHz up to 40 GHz, the new designs aim to provide engineers with a complete and comprehensive selection of components for various calibration and testing applications.

Nominal gain ratings range from 10 dB to 20 dB depending on the horn design. Each antenna can be sold as a complete unit which includes an attached waveguide to coax adapter or can be purchased as a standalone horn antenna without the adapter. Each of Fairview’s new standard gain horns are manufactured with a lightweight aluminum body that is finished with a corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel epoxy in accordance with MIL-F-14072 standards.

Fairview has also created a helpful reference guide showing all of the key specifications of horn antennas including waveguide size, frequency range, flange type, internal dimensions, and relevant Fairview part numbers and compatible products. The new reference guide assists in accurately matching Fairview’s waveguide components to the customer’s applications.

“Our expanded line of standard gain horns provides our customers with a wide variety of options for their test and measurement needs”, explains Greg Arnold, Technical Sales Manager at Fairview Microwave, Inc. “These antennas will help ensure the user maintains accurate and consistent gain and directivity for the application at hand.”

Fairview’s new standard gain horns are in-stock and available to ship now. The company is also offering an extended six month warranty on all gain horn antennas to coincide with the new product launch.
