A low-power processor extension to the ADLQM67PC PCIe/104 SBC has been released by ADL Embedded Solutions. Alongside a QM67 PCH chipset, the ADLQM67PC-3517UE features a 17W 3rd gen Intel Core i7-3517UE processor. As well as the memory controller functions of a traditional GMCH, the 3rd gen Intel Core i7 processor integrates Intel’s HD Graphics 4000 engine with AVX2.

Featuring a 17W TDP, the Intel Core i7-3517UE has a higher performance/watt than any previous 2nd gen Intel Core embedded processor. Suitable for rugged and harsh environment applications, the ADLQM67PC-3517UE features a 16-bit digital I/O port and VGA, LVDS, HDMI and Display Port interfaces. The processor extension is also offered with 2x RS232 COM ports, 2x SATA 6Gb/s with RAID support, 8x USB2.0, two bootable Gigabit Ethernet LAN, HDA 7.1, and type 1 bottom-stacking PCIe/104 V2.01 supporting Gen2 throughput of 5 GT/s are just a few of the available features.

“The ADLQM67PC-3517UE is suitable for rugged applications where high performance/watt is critical. At 17W, it is well suited for autonomous or portable embedded applications for both rugged military or industrial use. As well, its stunning graphics capabilities will enable next-gen portable medical devices, signage, mobile HMI such as rugged tablets to name a few,” commented Marin Kristof, Managing Director, ADL Embedded Solutions.
