Mouser Electronics is now stocking the new DWM3000 RF module from Qorvo.

The device integrates a DW3110 ultra-wideband (UWB) transceiver IC plus power management, ceramic UWB chip antenna, and crystal to simplify incorporation into designs such as asset tracking, logistics, navigation, and factory automation.

The DWM3000 is IEEE 802.15.4a and IEEE 802.15.4z BPRF mode compliant and allows location of objects to a precision of 10 cm.

It supports data rates of 850 kbps and 6.8 Mbps, and provides worldwide UWB support with UWB channel 5 (6.5 GHz) and channel 9 (8 GHz).

It also supports time-of-flight (ToF) and time-difference-of-arrival (TDoA) location schemes, enabling high performance in navigation and tracking applications.

Housed in a 24-pin, 23 mm × 13 mm × 2.9 mm package the RF module is pin and size compatible with Qorvo's DWM1000 for UWB channel 5 operation.

The DWM3000 module can be easily integrated with a variety of microcontrollers, offering useful design flexibility. Hardware and software support material is available from Qorvo, simplifying design and development.

Optimised for low power consumption and exceptional battery life, the DWM3000 RF module is ideal for healthcare, agriculture, and safety and security.
