Axiomtek released PICO100, a new super-compact, low-power Pico-ITX SBC powered by either a single core AMD G-Series APU T40R at 1.0GHz or a dual core T40E at 1.0 GHz paired with the Fusion Controller Hub A50M chipset. One onboard SO-DIMM socket supports up to 4GB of DDR3 1066 memory. Integrated with Radeon™ HD 6250 graphics controller with DirectX 11 support, the PICO100 offers advanced 3D graphics and supports multiple displays via DisplayPort or VGA and 18-bit single channel LVDS panel.
This system only requires +5V DC power input. The PICO100 is perfect for car PCs, in-flight entertainment systems, and even portable devices like thin clients and high-end medical imaging devices, where there are demands for extremely compact-size, fanless operation, low power, great graphics performance, and versatile I/O.

Axiomtek’s PICO100, measuring 100 x 72 mm, is our smallest single computing board. It is designed with the low-power AMD G-Series APU T40R and T40E with DirectX 11 supported and features DisplayPort/VGA and 18bit single channel LVDS display capability with high definition video compatibility. With its extremely small footprint and low power requirements, the PICO100 has the highest-end graphics and is the most cost-effective for entry into the development of graphics-intensive small form factor applications”, said Michelle Mi, PM of Product Planning Division at Axiomtek.

In a small rugged form factor, the PICO100 provides a full set of I/O features including one 10/100/1000 Ethernet, two COM ports, four USB 2.0 ports, one SATA-600, one CompactFlash™ Type-II socket, one PS/2 keyboard/mouse, and HD audio. Additionally, the PICO100 supports Windows® 7, Windows® Vista, Windows® XP embedded, and Linux. The built-in Watchdog Timer keeps system running smoothly. This durable embedded board is designed embedded field applications particularly; its applications include in-vehicle PCs, medical imaging, gaming, in-flight entertainment systems, industrial automation systems, and ultra portable devices.
