With enough connection and communications interfaces to satisfy the most demanding applications, a new low power PC104 card from ICOP Technology UK also provides ample fanless processor speed to get the job done.
The ICOP-6357 uses the Vortex 800MHz 86DX processor and has 4 x serial ports, one of which is configurable as RS232/422/485), two USB 2.0 ports, triple 10/100 LAN port and 16 lines of general purpose I/O. In addition to the onboard 4MB SPI Flash an enhanced IDE port supports both conventional and also Flash drives up to 4GB. If required, even more expansion can be obtained through the use of the PC/104 interface.

Equally impressive features from this 90x96mm module include LCD graphics resolution up to 1280 x 1024 using an XGI Volari Z9s chipset and fully programmable watchdog timer (30.5 to 512 seconds).

Power conscious designers will be satisfied by the 740mA consumption from a +5V supply and the ability of the ROHS compliant ICOP-6357 to operate reliably in a standard temperature range of -20C to +70C or an extended range of -40C to +85C.
