Celsum Technologies Ltd has introduced single-axis, current-loop accelerometers to its range of cost-efficient, strain-gauge based accelerometers. The CTA103A-420 accelerometers are available with ranges of ±2g through to ±200g, Weighing less than 30g, the CTA103A-420 is packaged in a rugged, aluminium, IP-65 sealed housing, and is available with an integral screened cable or with a miniature multi-pole socket connector.
The sensing elements are MEMS technology micro-machined silicon strain gauges, have linearity ±0.3%, a resonance frequency of 5,000Hz, with a measurement bandwidth, depending on range, of from DC to up to 1,500 Hz, and an operating temperature range of -55 to +125°C. It has an over-range capability of 4,000g.

Roy Carter, Managing Director of Celsum Technologies, said, The addition of a two-wire, 4-20mA option to our CTA accelerometer range gives added versatility to this already useful and cost-effective series. They have many applications, including defence, aerospace, automotive, wind turbines, condition monitoring, process control and R&D. Together with our extensive range of strain gauge conditioning amplifiers and associated instrumentation, they provide a robust solution to many measurement problems.
