Network appliance provides 4x faster DPI performance

A 1U/2U rackmount ARIP (Application Ready Intelligent Platform), powered by the 4th Gen Intel processor Xeon E3-1200 v3 and C226 Chipset, has been released by ADLINK Technology. The CSA-5200/5100 series supports the company’s PacketManager, a software package that includes control plane configuration tools and data plane packet processing acceleration capabilities.

Through the PacketManager, the ARIP provides up to 11 times faster Layer 3 forwarding performance and 4 times faster DPI performance compared to that of native Linux. High scalability is provided through four expansion slots for Network Interface Modules (NIM) with a choice of GbE, SFP and SFP+ ports. The CSA-5200 2U model is offered with four 2.5”/3.5” SATA drive bays, with the CSA-5100 1U model offering one 2.5” SATA drive bay and two mSATA SSD slots.

The series features SATADOM and CFast slots for flexible storage support, whilst a PCIe slot is also available for a hardware accelerator card to offload processor-intensive security tasks. The ARIP is suitable for use in unified threat management, next-generation firewall, deep packet inspection and other network security applications.
