For wireless connectivity, R6S is internally built with three full-sized Mini-PCIe with SIM card reader (one for WiFi, two for 4G LTE) simultaneous operation. Regarding capability in asset tracking, R6S is built with onboard GPS/GLONASS. This is ideal for Internet access, infotainment and passenger information systems.
Lanner also offers extended SKU (B and C) providing flexible wireless communication through four M.2 slots for 4G LTE or WiFi, each with single SIM slot. As an infotainment railway controller, R6S comes with multiple display interfaces in dual HDMI ports. Regarding connections with rolling stock instruments, it equips with four RS-232/422/485 Serial COM ports for Audio Public Address & Intercom Call (APAIC) system and passenger information system (PIS).
