Rackwise demonstrated RACKWISE DCM’s ability to seamlessly point, click, and remotely connect to servers and other device management consoles. As part of their demonstration, Rackwise used one of Minicom’s multi-user IP KVM switches, which gives IT managers remote, out-of-band access to their servers from anywhere in the world using a web interface.
“Real time access and control of servers and devices in the data center are critical functions for today’s data center. Combining our remote access solutions with Rackwise’s industry leading Data Center management software creates a powerful opportunity for data center IT and Facility administrators to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs,” says Rami Sasson, VP Business Development and Strategy.
All equipment used for the demonstrations is located in Rackwise’s Product Demonstration Center, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Collecting data from and performing remote management with devices half a world away dramatically demonstrates RACKWISE DCM’s ability to manage globally dispersed enterprise data centers,” says William Nelson, Director of Product Management.
