Utilising the Intel Atom E3800 processors to provide low-power consumption with fast and high performance, the BT160 and BT161 Mini-ITX industrial motherboards have been announced. Suitable for a wide range of industrial designs, the DFI motherboards deliver excellent graphical capabilities, computing, and media as well as a built-in security engine, thanks to the sub-10-watt SoC.

By integrating the 4th generation Intel HD Graphics engine, the E3800 processor provides smooth, immersive gaming and vivid visual entertainment. It offers triple the graphics capabilities of previous-generation Intel Atom processors, making it suitable for applications including gaming machines, medical equipment, industrial control automation, security & surveillance, smart grid, ATM, and POS. Additionally, the BT160 and BT161 provide 2 DDR3L SODIMM sockets supporting up to 8GB at 1333/1066 MHz for faster communication between components.

The Mini-ITX industrial motherboards provide flexible I/O, including: four USB ports, two SATA ports supporting SATA DOM, four COM ports, one LPC connector for additional COM/Parallel ports, and one 8-bit Digital I/O connector for device controls. The BT160 provides one 24-pin ATX power connector while the BT161 provides one 12V DC-in (default) or one 4-pin ATX (optional). In order to offer additional expansion capabilities, the motherbaords provide one PCIe x1, one Mini PCIe, one DFI Proprietary Extension Bus for PCIe/PCI expansion and one DFI EXC interface for I/O expansion.
