mimoOn, a pioneer in LTE software implementation for Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms, today announced availability of its LTE PHY software, mi!MobilePHYTM-TDD targeted at the LTE user equipment (UE) market. In addition, mimoOn also announced a design win with an unnamed silicon baseband vendor.

miMobilePHYTM-TDD builds on mimoOn’s existing LTE PHY solution for FDD. Completely 3GPP compliant, and specifically designed for software defined radio (SDR) platforms, miMobilePHYTM-TDD delivers a scalable, flexible and 3GPP roadmapped solution for multiple silicon and DSP IP vendors.

Commenting on the announcement, Brian Robertson, VP Sales & Marketing of mimoOn, With one design win already accomplished, we believe that TDD will be a major part of the LTE UE market proposition, we are very pleased to announce availability of mi!MobilePHYTM-TDD in a year that will see explosive demand for LTE capable mobile devices. mimoOn will provide a pre-integrated and tested solution to silicon and DSP-IP vendors, enabling them to deliver a robust solution to their customers, whilst improving design cycle times and cost competitiveness.
