Richardson RFPD is now offering a selection of modules, networks and gateways for LoRa sensor networks with full design support capabilities.

LoRa and LoRaWAN are low-power wide-area network modulation techniques designed for low-power devices communicating over a long range.

Key LoRa applications include smart agriculture, smart city, parking monitoring, lighting, and building sensors.

Featured devices for building scalable LoRa solutions include:

  • Microchip’s ATSAMR34J18 ultra-low power microcontroller combined with a UHF transceiver communication interface. Features include sleep currents as low as 790 nA and highly configurable peripherals. The transceiver supports LoRa, FSK, MSK and GSK modulation and delivers up to +20 dBm TX power with an RX sensitivity down to -148 dBm. The microcontroller is ideal for battery-powered remote sensor applications. It simplifies development and accelerates the time to market for LoRa end-nodes.
  • Kerlink’s Wirnet iStation LoRaWAN outdoor gateway for IoT applications features high performance, reliability and robustness, a carrier grade design with excellent heat dissipation, and security hardware and software architecture. It supports smart city, smart industry and other smart projects by combining simplicity of installation, comprehensive coverage and operation.
