Wipro Technologies Selects Lattice MachXO PLDs For New Server Platforms

Lattice Semiconductor announced that Wipro Technologies (NASDAQ: WIT), one of the largest providers of design services for integrated business, technology and process solutions, has selected the MachXO™ PLD family for use in their new server platforms. The MachXO device performs many of the general purpose I/O expansion, interface bridging and power-up management functions required for the new server designs.

The MachXO PLD family’s system integration benefits have driven its increasing adoption in a broad range of low density applications in a variety of end markets, including consumer, automotive, communications, computing, industrial and medical. The MachXO PLD family offers customers an “All-in-One-PLD” by providing distributed and embedded memory, built-in PLLs, high performance LVDS I/O, remote field upgrade (TransFRTM technology) and a low power sleep mode, all in a single device. In November 2009 Lattice announced that it has shipped more than 25 million MachXO PLDs. All MachXO PLDs are fully production qualified and have been shipping with a track record of high volume and reliability for more than four years.
