“While COMs can be used in a wide variety of applications, that flexibility doesn’t do much good without software to develop those applications,” said Chris A. Ciufo, OpenSystems Media, Group Editorial Director, Military and Aerospace Group. “Aiding in the development of new applications, the Kontron microETXexpress Starterkit VxWorks gets the ball rolling on COM designs enabling companies to shorten time to market.”
“Wind River and Kontron are enabling embedded developers to begin application development in less than one hour (versus what traditionally can take days or weeks) by leveraging an out-of-the-box hardware and software solution,” said Dinyar Dastoor, senior director of field engineering at Wind River. We are confident our joint customers will greatly benefit by not only mitigating risks associated with software integration but by accelerating time to productivity.
