The Interface Masters 10GBASE-T media converter is an enabler product that supports the transition and the introduction of the 10GBASE-T technology, said Shay Morag, CEO of Bright Networks, the Niagara 902 is a unique and cost effective solution that address the initial testing and deployment of 10GBASE-T systems. Key Bright Networks customer’s utilize the Niagara 902 in their testing labs and avoid the upgrade of expensive analysis and testing equipment.
At 4.5 watts, Solarflare’s 65nm 10GBASE-T PHY is the lowest power PHY in the industry and supports distances of greater than 100 meters on UTP Category 6A cabling, 100 meters on STP Category 6, 55 meters on UTP Category 6 and 45 meters on UTP Category 5E cabling.
