AIS Releases a 15” Industrial HMI Touch Panel PC with Analog and Digital I/O Modules for Manufacturing and Packaging Applications

American Industrial Systems Inc. (AIS), introduces a Industrial 15 Touch Screen HMI Panel for PC-based/Windows-based industrial controllers and local processing terminals. The system is powered by the Intel® Atom™ 1.6 GHz processor with 2.5W thermal design power (TDP) and 1.56 TDP to clock speed ratio (W/GHz) which allows for a passive and fanless cooling system architecture. Paring the HMI Panel PC with AIS´ Industrial Analog and Digital I/O Modules allow for field data collection and control for automation and SCADA systems.
By linking I/O devices to DCS’ through a bus communication system, AIS eliminates a lot of wiring, which in turn reduces installation and validation during start up, as well as reducing maintenance costs throughout the life of the equipment. AIS terminal and I/O systems reduce development time and are easily deployed into industrial automation, packaging, and handling applications.

AIS´ HMI touch screens and I/O modules are all designed to integrate together with a minimal design and commissioning. Packaging and Material Handling and industrial auomation OEM´s scale equipment and resources to handle fluctuating product and manufacturing batch sizes that can change frequently; designing with AIS´ PC-based and Windows-based networked automation products gives customers the flexibility to adjust and scale production when paired with the optional InduSoft Web Studio HMI/ SCADA software. AIS´ HMI Touch Panel PC is a pre-certified approved hardware to run Indusoft’s full feature HMI/SCADA software.

The touch panel pc is designed to NEMA 1/12/4 sealing standards, meeting high levels of dust, dirt, grease, moisture, humidity, shock, vibration and EMI/RFI resistance compliance. The open source web-enable HMI touch panel pc´s run Microsoft Windows operating systems along with integrated standard communication interface features including Gigabit Ethernet, RS232, and RS422/485 serial ports can connects to industrial automation PLC, DCS, SCADA and PAC systems.

The analog and digital I/O modules provide cost-effective protection and conditioning for a wide range of industrial control signals and systems. Our product line includes sensor-to-computer, computer-to-sensor, digital I/O, timer/ counter, RS-232 to RS-485 converter, RS-485 repeater, man machine interface, and data display and application software.
