Impulse launches the HM55 series panel PCs

Impulse is pleased to launch a new range of panel PCs based on the high performance Intel HM55 system chipset and Intel Core i series processor. Combined with the energy efficient design of DDR3 SODIMM memory, the HM55 series is an ideal platform for machine control, building automation and information/kiosk applications.

Display sizes start at 15” up to 21.5” and include a number of resistive touch screen configurations and optional protective glass. Multiple housing options are available including open frame, standard panel-mount, IP65 panel-mount and wall-mount. This choice in housing enables the HM55 series to be a versatile and long term platform for OEM and system builders, allowing them to integrate their panel in to their own custom enclosure or kiosk.

The HM55 series features an extensive range of I/O including four USB2.0 ports, two RS-232 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port and dual gigabit Ethernet. For added expandability you can include up to two Mini PCIe cards, allowing for additional communication functionality such as WiFi, 3G, GPRS and GPS.

Impulse can configure your HM55 series panel pc to meet your exact specification with a wide choice of processors, memory, storage and software options. Impulse can also assist you in the creation of your own custom Microsoft Windows Embedded operating system.
