StarTech.com announced the release of their latest HDMI over Wireless Extender, which makes it easy to set up digital signage in a variety of business, educational and industrial settings. The extender transmits a 1080p HDMI video signal, with audio, by up to 165 ft. (50m) and enables users to control the display remotely from their laptop computer.

This extender replaces the original HDMI over Wireless Extender from StarTech.com. The HDMI over Wireless Extender gives installers a practical and easy way to integrate audio-video equipment into boardroom and classroom settings, because it avoids the hassle of having to discreetly locate and install cables. The extender also overcomes the limitations of in-wall cable runs, which may be impossible in certain environments.

“We’ve taken great strides with this updated wireless video extender,” said John Mardinly, Senior Product Manager, StarTech.com. “This extender supports 1080p video extension at distances up to 150 ft. (50m), which makes it a very powerful solution for digital signage applications. It also includes mounting brackets for the transmitter and receiver units, which are compact and easy to conceal. Now, there’s no need to worry about running long HDMI cable through walls and ceilings”.

The HDMI over Wireless Extender is available at CDW, Amazon.com, Newegg.com, PC Connection, and Insight and will be distributed by Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, Tech Data, D&H and ASI.
