VITEC Multimedia has announced the release of a new SDK for its top of the line: HDM850TM HD/SD H.264/MPEG-2 4:2:2 decoder card.

HDM850TM is specifically designed for professional broadcast applications. It supports multiple resolutions, (up to 1080p60) and formats including MPEG-2 and H.264 codecs. Providing continuous, frame-accurate, seamless back-to-back playback as well as outputting all common video formats from SD to 3G over SDI and HDMI, HDM850TM meets your playback needs from today and beyond.
HDM850 TM now supports



- HD/SD-SDI input (up to 3Gb/s) for seamless live video insertion (insert any live video stream into a MPEG playlist).

- Enhanced trick modes support for MPEG2 and H.264 encoded file.

- RS-422 control support (Sony 9-pin protocol, device mode).

- Fully featured end user application with source code (LW Player).
