The FW-7610 features the Intel Celeron 827E processor (HM65 chipset), up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, Intel 82583 network controller, type-II Compact Flash socket for storage, 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports and a 150W PSU with 2 cooling fans. Other I/O interfaces include two USB ports and one RJ-45 Cisco type console port.
Another feature of the FW-7610 is the embedded watchdog mechanism. This mechanism allows the appliance to be self-reliant by triggering an automatic system reset when a software hang occurs.
