The MGate MB3000 series provides a flexible platform for high density Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP conversion. The series provides maximum flexibility for integrating industrial Modbus networks of all types and sizes. Furthermore, with the MGate MB3000 the user can control power meters, UPSs, ATS and protection relays.

The MGate MB3000 comes in 1, 2, and 4-port versions, where the delivery of Modbus-RTU-to-Modbus-TCP occurs in three easy steps. The gateway provides up to 256 TCP master connections, faster performance with active polling, configurable prioritisation of master requests on slave networks, rugged metal construction, DIN-rail mount capability and serial Modbus tunnelling over an IP network.

In addition, selected MGate MB3000 models come with ADDC (Automatic Data Direction Control), magnetic and ESD isolation protection, a web console and windows utility for maintenance, SNMP querying, and a wide -40 to 75°C temperature range. As with all Moxa products the MGate MB3000 series comes with a standard five year warranty.

Dominic Dempster, Data Communications Product Specialist at Amplicon commented: “The surge of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Industry 4.0 and smart grids has increased the number of edge equipment in a typical network. Therefore, devices such as the Moxa MGate MB3000 are now essential to allow the full device integration of SCADA systems.”
