The Zypad WL1500 series has extended communication capability: the user can maintain connectivity through a full range of communication standards such as cellular including 3G, CDMA and GPRS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The device features built-in GPS that allows location-based referencing for the acquired data.
To support the mobile user, the Zypad WL1500 series features power conservation techniques and increased battery capacity allowing the device to run for more than an eight hour shift. Also, the unique hot swap functionality allows the user to change the battery on the fly, without losing any data.
The Zypad comes with a 3.5 TFT touchscreen display at QVGA resolution with backlight control. Also included are an integrated microphone, mono-audio speaker and the ability to connect an external microphone. The Zypad WL1500 supports an integrated barcode scanner as an option as well as the external ring-scanner that is available on previous models. Additional features include a Micro SD slot, 128MB of SDRAM Flash memory and a twelve-key keyboard with built-in backlight for easy viewing.
