Vecow has launched what it describes as the ‘world's first’ embedded box PC with 5^th gen Intel Core i7 CPU, the ECS-4000 slim fanless embedded system. With versatile I/O, intelligent management, wide V_IN range, smart surge protection, the rugged ECS-4000 is compact and powerful, suiting machine vision, intelligent manufacturing, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), logistics, surveillance and IoT applications.

With dual DDR3L 1333/1600MHz memory up to 16GB and 15W TDP, the embedded system runs with up to 10% improved performance compared to the previous engine. Advanced Intel HD Graphics 6000 graphics, supporting DVI-D and dual DisplayPort triple independent displays, up to 4K Ultra HD Resolution, enables graphics performance improvements of up to 30% compared to the former graphics engine.

A high speed data transfer path is provided with GbE PoE+ LAN, USB 3.0, SATA III and 3G/ 4G/ WiFi/ GPRS/ UMTS. The system is equipped with four GbE PoE+ ports with independent controllers, and dual GbE LAN ports with independent controllers supporting iAMT 9.0, 4 COM RS-232/ 422/ 485.

Two USB 3.0, four USB 2.0, 16 isolated DIO, dual Mini PCIe sockets, two Front-access SIM card sockets, a Front-access CFast slot, three SATA III (two for SSD/ HDD, one for mSATA), are provided in this fanless, cableless design.

Power input ranges from 6 to 36V, with 80V surge protection, configurable ignition power control, -25 to +70˚C operating temperature and compliance to EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2.
