With the new 19 industrial server solution, DSM Computer AG expands its portfolio with a new product segment for the fast acquisition, processing and evaluation of data in the industrial metrology and image processing areas. The industrial server system with the designation Black Infinity has two Intel Xeon L5518 quad-core processors (Nehalem-EP architecture) or alternatively up to two Intel Xeon L5508 CPUs, an Intel 5500 chipset and ICH10R.
Features such as the Intel Turbo Boost technology or the memory connection using Intel QuickPath Interconnect and an optimum hardware support for the virtualization make the system ideal for server applications.

Large-surface high-performance fans ensure an optimum cooling. This allows the DSM 19 server to always operate reliably, even under extreme operational conditions.
The eight DIMM sockets can be equipped with a maximum of 16 GB DDR3 800/1066/1333 SDRAM per CPU. Two 5.25 drive plug-in units are provided for the connection of maximum six SATA II 300 drives for data archiving. As an option, a plug-in unit with four 2.5 SATA exchangeable drives can be used in a RAID system.

The 4-HM Black Infinity® provides adequate PCI expansion slots for short cards - one PCI 32-bit, two PCI Express 2.0 x8 (8 lanes), one PCI Express 2.0 x8 (4 lanes) and one PCI Express x4 (4 lanes). The on-board Intel® 82567 GBit Ethernet controller with 10/100/1000 Base T/TX support ensures a fast network connection of the industrial computer. For the required flexibility in an industrial environment, the computer is equipped with eight USB 2.0 (four external, four internal), a second LAN, VGA and up to two COM interfaces.

With the internal LCC Pilot II server engine with 64 MB and a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, the user also is provided with onboard graphic capability. The industrial server supports various 32-bit and 64-bit server operating systems. By default, the 19 industrial server system has a 600 watt power pack, however, as an option, is also available with a powerful redundant power pack.
