StarTech.com has introduced Thunderbolt 3 to Dual DisplayPort Adapter, 'the highest resolution and simplest dual DisplayPort adapter ever'.  Every aspect of the adapter has been designed for performance and to remove the limitations associated with existing video adapters.

The Thunderbolt 3 to Dual DisplayPort Adapter is bus powered, does not require additional device drivers and, for the first time, a dual DisplayPort adapter supports two full uncompressed DisplayPort 1.2 video streams from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.

"Finally, a technology that can truly unleash the full power of a notebook or tablet”, said Paul Seed, Chief Executive Officer, StarTech.com. “Thunderbolt 3 will enable simple, high-performance and cost-effective dual video adapters for connecting any combination of dual HD and 4K displays.”

The new Thunderbolt 3 to Dual DisplayPort Adapter offers revolutionary video bandwidth and simplicity by supporting two uncompressed 4K 60HZ (4096 x 2160) monitors, that’s nearly 16m more pixels than an HDTV, from a single Thunderbolt 3 port. The adapter is Thunderbolt 3 port powered eliminating the need for AC adapters or Y-cables that clutter the desktop.

The Thunderbolt 3 to Dual DisplayPort Adapter does not require additional device drivers and does not lose video quality by splitting one DisplayPort 1.2 video stream or using lossy compression algorithms. The Thunderbolt 3 to Dual DisplayPort Adapter is suitable for consumers, gamers, business professionals and media creators who desire multiple displays with astonishing resolution, contrast and colour depth to see photos, videos, games, applications and text with amazing detail.

“We’re thrilled to see such strong PC adoption for Thunderbolt 3”, said Jason Ziller, Director of Thunderbolt Marketing, Intel. “With unmatched transfer speeds, support for multiple 4K displays, notebook charging and compatibility with existing I/O technologies, Thunderbolt 3 is setting a new bar for the industry.”

Thunderbolt 3 brings Thunderbolt to USB-C at speeds up to 40 Gb/s, creating one compact port that does it all – delivering the fastest, most versatile connection to any dock, display, or data device. For the first time, one computer port connects to Thunderbolt devices, every display and billions of USB devices. A single cable now provides four times the data and twice the video bandwidth of any other cable, while also supplying power.
