DFI today launches a new Mini-ITX form factor motherboard, CP100-NRM, offering higher processing performance, superior graphics display support, and evolutionary memory system and I/O interface improvements. This next-generation embedded board utilizes the latest two-chip platform with the Intel QM57 chipset supporting Intel Core i7-620M (SV), Intel Core i5-520M (SV), Intel Celeron P4500 (SV) processors.
These new 64-bit, multi-core processor are built on 32-nanometer process technology and integrate the memory controller and graphics core on-die, eliminating the need for both a Northbridge and Southbridge interface chip used in previous platforms. Placing the memory controller and graphics core on the processor die provides a tightly-coupled, two-chip system architecture, with resulting higher performance and lower power than previous three-chip platform solutions.

In addition, this new platform includes Intel® Hyper-Threading and Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, which enables each processor core to handle two instruction threads and increase performance by more than 50% when all cores are not fully utilized. An enhanced three-level cache subsystem utilizes a first level instruction cache (FLC) and mid level cache (MLC) on a per-core basis, with a large last level shared cache with controls to minimize snoop activity. The combination of hyper-threading with the new three-level cache subsystem insures higher performance at reduced power consumption across a broad-spectrum of embedded processing applications.

Support is provided for up to 8GB of DDR3 800/1066 MHz dual-channel system memory, two PCI Express Gigabit LAN controllers, Integrated Trusted Platform Module (TPM 1.2) option available and Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® iAMT) 6.0, and KVM (keyboard-Video-Mouse) redirection allowing wired, or remote system management.

Additional features include Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator HD supporting high-definition 2D, 3D and video graphics using VGA, DVI and 24-bit LVDS interfaces providing dual-independent display capability for intensive multimedia application, four Serial ATA ports with speed up to 3Gb/s, RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 drive support, eight USB 2.0/1.1 ports, four Serial COM ports, and two channel analog audio support with High-Definition digital audio S/PDIF input/output interface. This embedded Mini-ITX motherboard provides expansion using 1 PCI Express x1 slot, and 1 PCI slot.

This industrial motherboard is ideal for applications requiring a stable revision-controlled platform, such as gaming, digital signage, security, industrial control automation, and networking embedded applications.
