StarTech.com has announced the release of its Standalone Video Capture and Streaming device (SKU: USB2HDCAPS) which allows users to capture and stream video content without a computer to a USB hard drive or SD card up to 64GB. The easy to use feature of one touch recording makes it suitable for instructors, corporate meetings and presentations.

With an internet connection, this product live streams video content right from the box without ever having to connect to a computer. The Standalone Video Capture and Streaming device has two modes; recording and streaming. The user can record directly to a SD card or use the built-in LAN port to stream over to a local network or the internet to an online video service. The video records in a compatible format and includes a built-in RJ45 network port for easy streaming abilities.

“The Standalone Video Capture and Streaming device is easy to use and provides the flexibility to capture and stream video without a connection to a computer. It captures HD video and streams in HD, allowing flexibility in sharing presentations and letting viewers/colleagues around the world see the recording,” commented John Mardinly, Senior Product Manager, StarTech.com.
