Conduant Introduces the RTX16 Rack Mount Streaming Data Recorder with High Speed Recording and Playback StreamStor® Technology

Conduant Corporation today introduced its Big River™ RTX16 Rack Mount Streaming Digital Recording System. It features Conduant’s StreamStor® Amazon Express high-speed recording and playback technology, in an industrial 19” rack-mount chassis that includes a PC server for integration of user supplied data acquisition boards or other peripheral options.
The Big River RTX16 Digital Recording System can be configured with up to 16 individually removable hard disk drives with total data storage capacity up to 32 terabytes. An on-board Dual Core Xeon processor with 4 gigabytes of random access memory can be used to handle command and control as well as data manipulation.

Multiple interfaces are available on the RTX16 Digital Recording System including PCI Express, Optical High Speed Serial, Copper High Speed Serial, LVDS and PCI. Various protocols can be supported including SerialFPDP, SerialLite II and Ethernet. The RTX16 supports a variety of data streaming applications including:

* Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
* High speed data acquisition
* Radar and sonar
* Telemetry
* Satellite download
* High resolution video

The Big River RTX16 Digital Recording System includes redundant power supplies for built-in protection against a single power supply failure. Expansion PCI Express slots accommodate optional third-party I/O and/or acquisition boards. The StreamStor® Application Program Interface (API) allows for the integration of StreamStor® Storage Controllers.
