CompuLab is introducing the fit-PC3 industrial PC (IPC). Based on AMD Embedded G-Series Platform - fit-PC3 is the most powerful member in CompuLab’s fit-PC line of miniature fanless IPCs to-date. fit-PC3 is a miniature fanless IPC measuring just 6.3” x 6.3” x 0.98” yet providing performance, visual experience and features comparable to much larger systems while consuming a fraction of the power.
The AMD Embedded G-Series platform integrates a low power x86 CPU and discrete-class advanced GPU into a single accelerated processing unit - the APU. CompuLab applied its expertise in designing innovative low-power embedded PCs to unleash the full potential of the AMD Embedded G-Series platform with the miniature fit-PC3.

“CompuLab’s fit-PC family of miniature fanless industrial PCs has gained an excellent reputation in the industry as low power, reliable platforms,” said Irad Stavi, Director of Business Development at CompuLab. “We expect that the dual-core CPU, outstanding visual performance, low power and the complete x86 eco-system as provided by the AMD Embedded G-Series platform together with the small size, durability and versatility unique to CompuLab’s fit-PC3 design will prove an attractive combination for many industry segments.”

“Complete solutions like the fit-PC3 from CompuLab significantly extend the reach of the AMD Embedded G-Series platform into fanless, small form factor markets,” said Richard Janeicke, director, Product Marketing, AMD (NYSE: AMD). “The very small footprint of AMD’s APUs, along with the BGA packaging and very low power are enabling x86 embedded devices with full-featured capability that seemed impossible just a couple of years ago and CompuLab’s miniature PC is a great example of a highly visual, highly reliable APU-based design.”

Beyond high performance in a small enclosure fit-PC3 is designed to host an extension card that can be easily tailored to fit custom I/O requirements and to effectively bring out the rich set of interfaces provided by AMD Embedded G-Series platform.

“One of the challenges in designing a miniature PC for the embedded industry is the variety of applications and specific I/O requirements each application has” said Dimitry Katkov, Director of R&D at CompuLab. “To address that we designed fit-PC3 as an open platform that can be extended with custom devices and I/O ports”.
