Designed to support applications requiring compact size and versatile performance, the PL-80520 networking system has been announced by WIN Enterprises. Featuring a high bandwidth DDR3 DIMM slot that supports memory up to 8GB, the platform features a 2.5” SATA HDD and CompactFlash storage interfaces.

Powered by an AMD Embedded G-Series SoC (a component guaranteed for long product life), the PL-80520 features a variety of I/O and expansion interfaces including: four copper GbE ports; a USB 2.0 port; an RJ45 console port; an 8x2 pin header for LCM option; two optional bypass pairs; a full-size Mini-PCIe with USB; a half-size Mini-PCIe with USB; an RS232/422/485 interface; an RS232 interface; a USB 3.0 port; two 3.5mm audio jack interfaces (one line-out and one mic-in); PCIe/SATA signaling; and 11 LED indicators for monitoring power, storage activities for system management, maintenance and diagnostics.

Operating over a temperature range from 0 to 40°C, the PL-80520 has dimensions of 232x153x44mm. Additionally, it features a watchdog timer which can generate a system reset and supports software selectable timeout intervals. A system monitoring feature (facilitated by the Winbond 83627DHG) supports temperature, fan speed and voltage monitoring. With CE and FCC certifications, the device is housed in an attractive black-metal chassis. Designed as a wireline or wireless (optional) networking or network security device, the PL-80520 features optional WiFi support and is powered by a 60W single DC +12V input power supply.
