The BGR125 also incorporates Access’ proven 2D barcoded boarding pass reader which is capable of reading the well-established home-printed travel documents and barcodes from the screens of mobile phones. The BGR125 reads documents face up, demonstrated to be quicker and more intuitive for customers and agents to use.
The BGR125 has a 2 x 16 character display with bright LED indicators and a user-programmable sounder to provide clear feedback to the operator for both barcode and NFC/contactless operations.
A wide range of emulations is available for connection to Common Use Terminal Equipment or dedicated systems and, to ensure that the units are future-proof, new firmware can be remotely downloaded.
The NFC and contactless capability on the BGR125 is also available as a simple upgrade to the large number of Access BGRs already deployed around the world, protecting customers’ investments in existing 2D BCBP reading devices.
In addition, Access has a compatible receipt printer for use with the BGR125 as a simple and reliable means to print receipts at airport check-in and boarding gates, allowing passengers to board with a receipt and with their mobile devices switched off.
