Brainboxes, a leader in Serial and Bluetooth connectivity, has released more new products into it’s already greatly established PCI Express range, ensuring customers demands and expectations are met These cards provide one and two port RS232 powered variants through either a spare SATA or IDE disk drive power connector from the PCs power supply. The cards are available in low profile and standard height options.
Powered cards are typically used in Point of Sale applications because one cable delivering both power and data communications lowers cost by saving on the need to have an additional power outlet and power brick for the device, simplifies the installation and maintenance of systems, saves on valuable space in store check outs and makes the operation of hand held device much easier.

Our products are being used in a new, industry changing Golf monitor application. The makers of the new Light Speed system claim it will make a difference to how golf retailers and PGA professionals will sell golf equipment in the future, and that the technology offers many advantages over existing launch monitor and swing analysis systems – at a greatly reduced cost.

The market feedback on this technology that is using our products has been amazing:

Neil Bell, MD of Direct Golf UK, has been trialling a Light Speed system at his Doncaster store. “We’ve been using GPG’s new technology for several months, and I believe it is an exciting piece of kit, unique in today’s market.

Golf retailer and golf simulator expert Bert Kofer said: “I believe this technology could have a major impact on golf teaching and club fitting around the world.”
