High Performance Network Appliance Supports Ten Gigabit LANs and ECC Memory

AXIOMTEK has introduced the NA-822 1U rack-mountable network appliance platform with wide-range processors and long life time support for small and medium business (SMB) markets. To fit different customers’ applications, the NA-822 built around an Intel 3210 plus ICH9R chipset supports Intel Core2 Quad, Core2 Duo, Xeon processors 3000 sequence, Intel Celeron E1500 and Celeron 440 processors in the LGA775 socket with a 1333 MHz FSB.
Moreover, the NA-822 platform supports two unbuffered ECC DDR2 DIMM slots with memory up to 4GB and ten 10/100/1000Mbps LAN ports with up to 2-group LAN bypass. This performance network appliance is designed to implement various internet applications, including VPN, content filtering, UTM, network security applications and other embedded box solutions.

The optional onboard Cavium CN16XX VPN security co-processor supports multi-security protocol commands and is able to offload the CPU to increase overall system performance. For storing event log data, the NA-822 has powerful storage interfaces including one 2.5” SATA HDD or one 3.5” SATA HDD, and a CompactFlash™ card. To prevent problems from sudden shutdown, the communication appliance supports LAN bypass function through WDT and GPIO pin definitions. The NA-822 also features function of BIOS redirection to console port. Other I/O features and expansion slot include two USB, one RJ-45 console port, one MiniPCI slot, and system reset switch. Moreover, the NA-822 supports mainstream Linux kernel 2.6 and 2.4 operating systems to better support customers who have developed applications on the above listed versions.
