The new systems are based on new 32nm processor architecture featuring new performance optimisation technologies, such as Turboboost, Hyperthreading and a new integrated DDR 3 memory controller providing reduced memory latency and greatly increased memory bandwidth.
The new architecture provides an increase in system performance of up to an incredible 65% compared with previous models Amplicon have offered, making the new generation ideal for today’s cutting edge industrial applications where system performance is paramount.
One of the key features of the new Ventrix and Impact-R is Intel Active Management Technology 6.0 (iAMT), which allows full access to system hardware over a network, independently of the installed OS, providing a level of functionality that would normally only be expected when using the machine locally, including the ability to power up, reboot the system and redirect the boot sequence to alternative remote media.
Ian Langton, Amplicon industrial computing specialist commented: ‘The new generation of Ventrix and Impact-R systems represent a significant raising of the bar in Industrial-grade computational performance, as well the incorporation of a number of desirable new features such as lights out remote management’.
